The Century B2748 is a full rated 2 HP square flange motor for pool and spa pumps. It runs at 3450 RPM on 230 V, in a Y56Y frame with a threaded shaft.
Where it goes
It is the replacement motor for a number of common wet ends: Hayward TriStar, Pentair Challenger and WhisperFlo, and the Jandy Stealth SHPF and SHPM series. Always read the old motor nameplate and confirm the horsepower, frame and shaft before ordering, since one pump body is often built with several motor options.
Construction
Sealed ball bearings at both ends, a stainless steel threaded shaft, an open dripproof enclosure and a 50 C ambient rating. The motor is a permanent split capacitor design, switchless, thermally protected, built to UL 1081 and rated for continuous duty with a 1.3 service factor.
California buyers
This motor does not meet California Title 20 and cannot be sold, shipped or installed in California. Century makes six compliant replacement models for that market, the V-Green EVO EVC130, EVC165, EVC225, EVQ130, EVQ165 and EVQ225.
