Product details

The Century H755 is a 3 HP square flange replacement pool pump motor for three phase power, wired for 208, 230 or 460 volts. It is a motor, not a complete pump.

Square flange and three phase

Two things decide whether this motor fits. The first is the mounting: a square flange face bolts to a pump built for it and will not swap onto a C-face or threaded shaft pump. The second is the supply. Three phase power is a commercial and light industrial arrangement, so these motors turn up on club, hotel and municipal pads rather than residential ones. If your pad only has single phase, this is not the motor.

Matching it to your pump

Take the nameplate off the motor you are pulling and check horsepower, phase, voltage and flange type against the specs above. The wet end stays: seal plate, impeller and housing all carry over, and it is worth fitting a new shaft seal while the pump is apart.

Will this run on single phase power?

No. It is a three phase motor and needs a three phase supply at 208, 230 or 460 volts.

What does square flange mean?

It describes the mounting face on the motor. A square flange motor bolts to a pump built for that face, and it will not interchange with a C-face or threaded shaft motor without the right pump housing.

Does this come with the pump wet end?

No. It is the motor alone. The seal plate, impeller and housing carry over from your existing pump.

How do I confirm it is the right motor?

Read the nameplate on the motor you are replacing and match the horsepower, the phase, the voltage and the flange type. Century lists this one as H755.
