Product details

The Sta-Rite U30-74SS is a stainless steel hex head cap screw, 3/8"-16 thread and 1 inch long. It is a small part with an outsized nuisance value, because when a pump screw seizes or rounds off you cannot open the housing at all.

Why stainless matters here

Pump hardware sits in constant damp, splashed with pool water and often exposed to whatever the chemical feeder is off gassing. A plated hardware store screw goes red inside a season and welds itself into the thread. Stainless comes back out the next time you service the pump.
