The Sta-Rite C69-2 is a water slinger, the small rubber ring that rides on the pump motor shaft between the seal plate and the motor face.
Why such a small part matters
Shaft seals do not fail all at once. Long before a pump obviously leaks, the seal weeps a little, and that water wants to run along the shaft toward the motor. The slinger spins with the shaft and throws that water outward, where it drips clear of the motor. Without it, weepage goes straight into the front bearing, and the motor is what fails.

It is listed for the Sta-Rite ABG series and CK series pumps. The source also carries it for Max-E-Glas and Dura-Glas pumps built before 1998, so on those models check the age of the pump before ordering.
When to fit one
Every time the pump comes apart for a shaft seal. The slinger is the cheapest item in the job and the one most often left off.
