Product details

The Aladdin GO-KIT79 is the seal and gasket kit for Sta-Rite Max-E-Pro series pool pumps. It is the set of parts you want on the bench before the motor comes off.

What is inside

The kit contains one AS201V or PS201 shaft seal, a trap lid o-ring (O-12), a drain plug o-ring (O-39), a diffuser o-ring (O-240) and an impeller screw o-ring (O-627). Each kit also contains one package of PTFE based sealant and lubricant so the gaskets seat properly rather than rolling as the housing goes back together.

When to use it

This is everything you need to successfully replace the motor on a Sta-Rite Max-E-Pro pump. Splitting the wet end disturbs every one of these seals, and old o-rings that have taken a set will not seal reliably a second time. Replacing all of them at once costs very little next to the labor of pulling the pump apart again to chase a drip.

Do I need this when I replace the motor?

It is built for exactly that job. This kit is everything you need to successfully replace the motor on a Max-E-Pro, since the seals and gaskets are disturbed when the wet end comes apart.

Why is lubricant included?

A dry gasket can roll or pinch as it seats. The PTFE based sealant and lubricant in each kit lets the o-rings seat cleanly and seal on the first assembly.
