The Sta-Rite C1-200PAZ is the replacement diffuser for Max-E-Glas and Dura-Glas inground pool and spa pumps. It is a durable molded plastic part, and the front of the diffuser itself carries C1-200PA.
Getting the right one
The horsepower range is stated two ways in the source material. The listing title reads .75HP to 2.5HP full rated, and the manufacturer note reads 1 through 2-1/2 HP full rated, with the body text describing 3/4 HP through 2-1/2 HP full-rate and up-rate pumps. Rather than guess, match the physical part: 6-1/2 inch diameter, 9/16 inch thickness at the outside edge of the vane, 1-7/8 inch from the back of the vanes to the front of the intake, a 1-7/8 inch inlet ID and a 2-1/4 inch inlet OD.
What to look at
It has five vanes, each about 2-5/8 inches long, and five screw holes. A brass sleeve is permanently attached inside the inlet, which is a useful way to tell this diffuser apart from similar looking parts. Since the pump has to come apart to reach it, check the impeller and the strainer basket while you are in there.
