Sta-Rite C105-236PDA is the 2 HP impeller for the Dyna-Glas and Dyna-Max series, the Dyna-Pro and Dyna-Pro E, and the Dyna-Wave series pumps.

What it does

The impeller is the only part of the pump that actually moves water. Everything else in the wet end feeds it or collects what it delivers. Vanes wear smooth over years of service, and the eye of the impeller collects the fine grit and hair that gets past the basket. Neither shows up as noise or as a change in current draw. What you see instead is filter pressure sliding down, longer run times to hit the same turnover, and a cleaner that runs weak.

Matching the part

Impellers are cut for a specific horsepower, so the 2 HP part belongs on a 2 HP pump and nothing else. The part number C105-236PDA appears under both the Sta-Rite and Pentair names, which is worth knowing if you compare listings, but it is one part.
