The Waterway 310-1130 is a complete 1HP wet end for center discharge spa pumps. It is the genuine Waterway part, supplied as an assembly so the water side of the pump goes back together in one piece.
What a wet end replaces
When the housing cracks, the seal plate is chewed up or the internals are past rebuilding one piece at a time, a complete wet end is usually the faster and cheaper repair. The motor stays where it is and the new wet end bolts to it.
Older pumps
Waterway notes that this current style wet end will still fit older style pumps, so an older center discharge spa pump is not a reason to look for a discontinued part.
