Waterway 310-3670 is the 2HP impeller assembly for the SVL56 high flow pump. It is the part that actually moves the water, and it is sized to the motor behind it.
Horsepower is not optional
Impellers are machined for one horsepower rating. The 2HP impeller is what a 2HP SVL56 was built with, and swapping in a different rating changes the flow and the load on the motor. Check the horsepower on the motor label before you order, not the label on the pump lid.
Symptoms of a worn impeller
A pump with a tired impeller still primes and still sounds normal, but the returns go soft and the filter pressure drops. Once you have ruled out a blocked basket, a dirty filter and a suction side air leak, the impeller is next: look for cracked or eroded vanes, and for hair and grit packed solid into the passages.

The impeller sits behind the shaft seal, so the seal has to be disturbed to get the impeller off. Most people order the seal with the impeller rather than doing the job twice.
