The Waterway 310-4010 is the 1-1/2 HP impeller for the Hi Flo pump, a six vane gray plastic impeller with an extended inlet. It is the genuine Waterway part.
How to confirm the fit
Impellers look alike across a pump family but are sized to horsepower, so measure and read the molding before ordering. This one is 3-5/8 inches across the outside and 3-3/16 inches from the end of the shaft to the front of the intake. The extended inlet is 1 inch long with a 1-1/2 inch inside diameter and a 1-7/8 inch outside diameter. The inlet side is molded SIDE DISH COVER 313-1530 and ASSY 310-4010-D - 1 1/2 HP.
Details worth noting
On the shaft side there is a small raised ring around the shaft, 5/16 inch tall with an outside diameter of 1-9/16 inches, plus a small ridge running around the outside diameter of the impeller. Those two features are the quickest way to tell this part from a similar looking impeller.
While the wet end is open
Taking an impeller off disturbs the shaft seal, so fit a new seal at the same time rather than reusing one that has been moved. Look at the wear ring as well, since a scored ring will take the edge off a new impeller inside a season.
