Product details

This is the complete wet end for the Waterway Executive pump, part number 310-1740. It is the 4 HP version, built for a 56Y frame motor, with a 2 in. inlet and a 2 in. side discharge.

What you get

The wet end is the hydraulic half of the pump, the part the water actually passes through. The motor is separate and is not included. Buying the wet end rather than a complete pump is the standard repair when the housing has cracked or the internals have worn but the motor is still sound.

Matching it up

Two things have to match: the motor frame and the plumbing. This wet end is a 56Y frame fitment with 2 in. ports, in the 4 HP size of the Executive range. Confirm the frame stamped on your motor and the size of your existing suction and discharge before ordering.

What are the port sizes?

When is a wet end the right repair?
When the housing is cracked, the volute is worn, or the impeller is damaged, but the motor still spins freely and quietly. Replacing the wet end costs less than a whole pump.
