This is the Waterway Executive wet end, part number 310-1510, rated 5HP with 2-1/2 inch suction and 2 inch discharge ports and built for a 56 frame motor.

What you get

The wet end is the water side of the pump: the housing and volute that the impeller spins inside. It arrives as an assembly, so the repair is a matter of taking the old pump end off the motor and bolting this one on. The motor itself is not part of this listing.

When to fit one

Housings crack, threads strip and volutes wear open over the years, and once that happens the pump loses flow or leaks no matter how healthy the motor is. Swapping the wet end brings the pump back without buying a complete unit. Confirm the motor frame and the port sizes against the specs above so the new end lines up with what is already plumbed in.

What is a wet end?
It is the whole pumping half of the pump: the housing, the volute and the impeller side that moves water. The motor is a separate piece and is not included here.
Which motor does it mount to?
A 56 frame motor. Check the frame stamped on your motor nameplate before ordering.
What are the port sizes?
2-1/2 inch on the suction side and 2 inch on the discharge side.
When is a wet end the right repair?
When the housing is cracked, the volute is worn out or the pump end is damaged but the motor still runs strong. Replacing the wet end costs less than a whole new pump.
