The G&P Tools Q-CS2 is a tapered rubber cord stopper for 1 inch conduit, made as a split plug so it can be fitted to a retrofit pool light. It has one 3/8 inch hole for the light cord.
The problem it solves
Water finds its way up the light conduit and out at the junction box end. It is a slow, quiet leak that people chase for a long time before they find it. The stopper wedges into the conduit around the cord and closes that path off.
Fitting
Because it is split, it goes on around a cord that is already run. Slide the cord into the hole and push the plug into the conduit small end first. The taper, 1-1/8 inch down to 13/16 inch across a 1-3/16 inch length, means it tightens as it goes in. There is no putty or silicone to mix or clean up.
