Product details

The S.R. Smith FLED-LC-TR is the clear snap-on outer cover lens for the old style Fiberstars and Treo LED underwater lights. It is the factory replacement, so it seats the way the original did.

What it actually does

The outer lens is the part of the fixture that pool water touches. Over the years it clouds, chalks and sometimes cracks, and the light behind it starts to look weak and scattered. Owners usually blame the LED and go looking for a lamp. Swapping a tired lens for a clear one is the cheaper thing to try first and it often restores the beam completely.

What is in the box

The lens cover only. The LED lamp is a separate part number, as is a complete light, so order the lens when the fixture is sound and it is only the outer cover that has gone bad.

Which lights does this lens fit?
It is listed as the replacement clear snap-on lens cover for the old style Fiberstars and Treo LED underwater lights.
Does the lens change the light color?
No. It is clear, so the color comes from the lamp behind it. Color changing is a function of the LED lamp, not of this cover.
Is the LED lamp included?
No. This listing is the outer cover lens on its own. The 5W replacement RGB LED lamp is a separate part.
Why replace a lens that is not broken?
Lenses cloud and chalk with age and pool chemistry. A hazy lens scatters the light and makes a healthy LED look dim, so a fresh lens often fixes what looks like a failing lamp.
