Product details

The Jandy R0791100 is the silicone lens gasket for Pro Series WaterColors LED RGBW pool and spa lights. It is listed for the small spa fixtures in the CSHVLED and CSLVLED series.

The part that keeps water out

A sealed underwater light fixture is only sealed because of the gasket behind its lens. Everything else, the housing, the lens and the clamping ring, is doing its job by squeezing that one silicone ring flat. Silicone is used here because it stays flexible through the heat cycles of a spa and does not go brittle in chlorinated water the way cheaper materials do.

Change it on every opening

Once a gasket has been clamped down and taken back up, it has taken a set and will not seal as reliably a second time. Anyone opening a WaterColors fixture to change a lens, chase a fault or reseat the assembly should plan on a new gasket going back in. Water that gets past the lens takes the whole LED assembly with it, which makes this one of the cheaper decisions on the fixture.
