Product details

The Jandy R0739400 is a light engine PCB for the large Jandy LED pool and spa light with the light shaping diverge optic, 120V. The light engine is the circuit board that carries the LEDs, so replacing it restores a dead or failing fixture without replacing the whole light.

Match three things

Jandy makes light engines for the small and large LED lights, and the large light comes in 12V and 120V versions. Jandy's replacement kit instructions list the large LED light engine with the light shaping diverger as separate 12V and 120V parts. Confirm the large size, the diverge optic and 120V against your fixture before you order.

How Jandy replaces it

Switch off the main breaker for the light circuit first. Jandy's instructions have you take the light out of the pool wall, which can be done under water without lowering the water level. Inside the fixture you remove the three nuts and washers, unplug the quick disconnect terminals, lift out the old board, and fit the new one with two nylon washers and two nuts torqued to 9 in-lbs. On a 120V large light the white wire goes to terminal J2 and the black wire to J3.

Before you reassemble

Jandy says to install a new lens gasket whenever the light is taken apart. The work should be done by a technician qualified in pool and spa electrical installation.
