Product details

The Jandy R0400500 is the silicone lens gasket for the small spa light. It is the genuine Jandy part.

What the gasket does

The gasket sits between the lens and the light housing. When the lens is drawn down, the gasket is what keeps spa water out of the fixture. It is a small part carrying the whole watertight seal, which is why it is the piece to renew whenever the light is opened rather than reused.

Why silicone

Silicone stays pliable through repeated heat cycles instead of hardening and taking a set. A gasket that has gone stiff will not reseal against the lens even if it looks intact. Jandy lists this gasket with the small quartz halogen colored spa light assembly.
