Product details

The Pentair 79200700 is the standard 10 hole pattern gasket set, with double wall gasket, for Pentair large stainless steel pool light niches. It is the genuine Pentair part from the large niche replacement parts list.

What it does

Pentair stainless steel niches seal to a vinyl liner with a sandwich gasket held under the liner sealing ring. Gaskets that have flattened, hardened or split can let water past the niche, which is why a fresh set usually goes in whenever the sealing ring comes off, most often during a liner replacement.

Choosing the right set

Start with the screw pattern. Large niches with the standard 10 hole pattern take this set, while niches with the American 8 hole pattern take gasket set 79200300. If your 10 hole installation does not use a double wall gasket, Pentair lists the same set without it as 79200400.

Before you order

This listing is the gaskets only. The standard 10 hole liner sealing ring (79200200), the back-up ring (634595) and the 10 hole screw kits (79205300, 79205400 and 79226300, in 1 in., 1-1/4 in. and 1-3/8 in. lengths) are separate Pentair parts.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

Will the Pentair 79200700 fit my light niche?
It fits Pentair large stainless steel light niches with the standard 10 hole pattern. If the sealing ring on your niche has 8 screw holes, it is the American 8 hole pattern and needs Pentair gasket set 79200300.
What is the difference between Pentair 79200700 and 79200400?
Both are standard 10 hole gasket sets for Pentair large stainless steel niches. The 79200700 includes the double wall gasket and the 79200400 does not, so match the set to the gaskets in your installation.
Does the 79200700 gasket set include the sealing ring or screws?
No, the Pentair 79200700 is the gaskets only. For the standard 10 hole pattern, the liner sealing ring is Pentair 79200200, the back-up ring is 634595, and the screw kits are 79205300, 79205400 and 79226300 in 1 in., 1-1/4 in. and 1-3/8 in. lengths.
When should light niche gaskets be replaced?
Fitting a new Pentair 79200700 set whenever the sealing ring comes off the niche, such as during a vinyl liner replacement, is the usual practice, because gaskets that have been compressed rarely reseal as well as new ones.
