Product details

The Lasco Fittings KIT30711S is a 3 inch 711 Series butterfly valve supplied as a kit with its flange set and stainless steel bolts, so the valve arrives with everything needed to land it in the line.

What a butterfly valve does

Butterfly valves isolate and regulate the flow of water. A disc inside the body rotates on the stem, and turning the handle swings that disc from fully open to fully closed. It shuts quickly when you need a line dead for service, and it can be left part way open to throttle flow instead.

Materials

The valve is built from durable PVC, so pool water and chemicals do not attack it the way they attack metal bodies. The bolts supplied in the kit are stainless steel, which matters on an outdoor equipment pad where plain hardware rusts into place and turns the next service call into a fight.
