Product details

The CMP Hydroseal 3-way diverter valve is a 1-1/2 inch socket valve in black CPVC, supplied with unions and listed as NSF approved.

What a 3-way valve does

One handle, two destinations. Turn it to send flow one way, the other way, or split it between the two. That is what makes it the standard control for pool and spa changeovers and for feeding a waterfall or bubbler off the return line without adding a second pump.

Why the unions matter

A valve glued directly into hard pipe becomes a cutting job the day it needs service. This one arrives with unions on it, so the valve can be unscrewed and lifted out and a replacement dropped in without touching the plumbing around it.

Material

CPVC rather than standard PVC. The difference shows on hot water lines, where CPVC has more temperature headroom, which is why it is preferred near heaters and on spa plumbing.
