Product details

The Jandy 4719 is a Neverlube three port diverter valve with 2-1/2" internal and 3" external PVC connections. One valve body covers both pipe sizes, which is why it turns up on so many equipment pads.

What Neverlube means

Older diverter valves need their diverter greased on a schedule, and a dry one gets stiff, then leaks. The Neverlube design does away with that routine service, so the valve keeps turning without a lubrication habit to remember.

How a three port valve is used

With three connections and a single dial, it sends flow to one port, to the other, or splits it between them. That covers pool and spa switching, isolating a solar array, and dividing return flow. The dial assembly lifts out from the top, so the valve can be serviced without cutting it out of the plumbing.

Do I have to grease the diverter?
No. That is what Neverlube means: the valve is built so the diverter does not need routine lubrication.
What does a 3 port valve do?
It gives you three plumbing connections and one handle. You can send flow to either port on its own or split it between the two.
Is this a genuine Jandy valve?
Yes. It is Jandy part number 4719.
