Product details

These are LaMotte DPD Chlorine #1R TesTabs, part number 6999A-J, supplied 100 tablets to the pack. They are the fast dissolving tablet reagent used with LaMotte pool and spa test kits.

Why tablets

A tablet reagent is a fixed dose. There is no counting drops and no guessing whether the drop size was consistent, which is the usual source of disagreement between two people testing the same pool. Fast dissolving tablets also cut the wait between dropping the tablet in the sample and reading the color.

Getting a reading you can trust

Match the tablet to the kit. If your LaMotte kit calls for DPD #1 tablets, compare the part number on the old refill against this one before you order, and follow the sample volume your kit specifies.

Store the pack sealed and dry. Reagent tablets absorb moisture, and a tablet that has softened or changed color has usually gone off and should not be trusted for a reading.
