The Eaton GFTCB220 is a two-pole, 20 amp Cutler-Hammer ground fault circuit breaker with a self-test function, rated for 120/240V service.

What it does

A ground fault circuit breaker interrupts a circuit when it detects current leaking to ground, cutting power before a shock or electrocution can occur. Because it mounts in the panel like a standard breaker, it protects the whole branch circuit rather than a single outlet, which suits equipment near a pool, spa, or other water source. The GFTCB220 runs its ground fault self-test automatically on a regular basis.

Panel features

The breaker uses a plug-on neutral design and is rated to interrupt fault currents up to 10 kAIC, with wire sizes from 14 to 4 AWG and a common two-pole trip. Its Trip to OFF handle moves fully to the OFF position when the breaker trips, so it is easy to see which breaker tripped in a crowded panel and reset it in a single step.
