Product details

The J&J Electronics TR-100-PP is a 100W low voltage transformer for swimming pool lighting, with 12V, 13V and 14V AC output taps and a beige housing. It is UL listed for swimming pool lighting applications.

Why the tap selection matters

Low voltage light runs lose voltage over distance. A fixture at the far end of a long cable can be seeing noticeably less than the transformer is producing, and an LED starved of voltage dims, shifts color or flickers. The three taps let the installer lift the supply so the light at the end of the run gets what it needs.

Built for where it lives

Equipment pads are hot, damp and full of chemical vapor. J&J designs this range for that environment, and adds a vibration sound dampening system and electrical line noise filtration so the transformer stays quiet and clean electrically.

Sizing

This is the 100W unit. Total the wattage of the lights on the circuit and keep the load inside that rating. Wiring and mounting have to meet local electrical code, so have a licensed electrician do the install.

How much load will it carry?
This is the 100W model. Add up the wattage of every light on the circuit and stay inside that figure.
Why are there three output voltages?
12V, 13V and 14V AC taps let you lift the supply voltage to make up for the drop over a long cable run, so the light at the far end still sees the voltage it expects.
Will it run LED pool lights?
Yes. J&J designs these transformers specifically for modern LED and low voltage swimming pool lighting systems.
Is it safe to mount near the pool equipment?
