The Pentair TS5L is the linear temperature sensor used by Compool and LX80 commercial pool and spa automation control systems. It is the genuine Pentair replacement and comes with red and green wires.
What it does
Every automation decision that depends on temperature starts with this sensor. The controller reads the sensor, compares it to a setpoint and calls for heat or stands down. When the sensor drifts or fails, the controller acts on a number that is not real, which can leave a heater running when it should not or refusing to fire when it should.
