Product details

The Pentair RLYLX is a DPST 20 amp power relay kit for Compool pool and spa automation control systems. It is the genuine Pentair part, supplied as a kit rather than as a loose relay.

What the relay does

An automation panel is a set of low voltage decisions driving high voltage loads. The relay is what bridges the two: the controller calls for the pump, the heater or the lights, and the relay physically closes the contacts that power them. Because it is mechanical, it is the part of the panel that wears. Contacts pit, coils fail, and one circuit stops responding while everything else in the system keeps working.

DPST and the 20 amp rating

Double pole, single throw means both legs of the circuit are switched together. Pentair rates it at 20 amperes and lists it as the additional power relay replacement kit, so the same part covers replacing a relay that has failed and adding a switched circuit to an existing Compool panel.
