The Swimables SW-97-024 is a 24 volt valve actuator for 3-port pool valves, listed as a substitute for PE24VA, GVA-24 and 263045.

What an actuator does

A valve actuator is the motor that turns a diverter valve on command from your automation controller. It is what makes spa mode, solar and water features work without anyone walking out to the equipment pad to turn a handle. The controller sends 24 volts, the actuator drives the valve to the position it was set to, and a cam inside stops it there.

Before you fit it

Confirm your valve is a 3-port and check the rotation it needs, since actuators are set up for a particular travel. Isolate power before working at the pad. When the new unit is on, run the valve through its full travel from the controller and watch that it stops where it should at both ends, then check the cover seals down properly. Water in the housing is what kills most actuators.
