Product details

The Swimables SW-21-150 is a 3 HP pump wet end built in the Whisperflo and IntelliFlo style, supplied with high temperature unions. It is a generic aftermarket assembly, not a Pentair factory part.

What a wet end is

The wet end is everything on the water side of the pump: the volute housing, the basket area and the plumbing connections. The motor is separate. When a housing cracks, warps from heat, or has had one repair too many, replacing the wet end and moving the good motor across is usually the cheaper half of the job.

Sizing and unions

This is the 3 horsepower size. Swimables lists a smaller wet end covering 0.5 HP through 2 HP as its own item, so match the size to the motor you are keeping. High temp unions are included, which saves sourcing them separately.
