Product details

The Pentair 356002Z is the pump housing for the Pinnacle high flow inground pool and spa pump, in almond. It is the genuine Pentair part, also listed as 356002, and it comes with the o-ring and plug.

What the housing does

The housing is the front body of the pump. It holds the strainer basket, takes the suction plumbing and passes water into the volute, and it is the part that carries the drain plug for winterizing. Because it sits on the suction side, damage here rarely shows as a drip: instead the pump pulls air, loses prime, or holds a low water level in the basket while it runs.

Before you order

Check the model on the pump label. This housing is specific to the Pinnacle high flow pump, and other Pentair pumps on the same pad take different bodies. Freeze damage and over tightened threaded fittings are the two most common reasons a housing has to be replaced.
