Product details

The Waterway 315-1400 is the Champion pump housing, the trap basket section that holds the strainer basket ahead of the impeller. This is the current new style version.

Read this before ordering

Waterway kept the part number the same and changed the design substantially. The old housing had brass inserts molded into the bolt positions, which took a shorter bolt threaded into the insert. The new housing has plain holes where those inserts used to be, and it uses a longer bolt with a nut and a washer instead. If you are replacing an original brass insert housing, your existing bolts will not work with this part.

The hardware

The bolt, nut and washer are separate items and are not supplied with the housing. It is worth ordering them at the same time so the pump can go back together in one session rather than two.

The housing is listed for the Waterway Champion 56 frame pump, referenced as the CHAMPS model. It is the genuine Waterway part, 315-1400.
