Product details

The Sta-Rite 351089Z is the black volute housing for SuperMax High Pressure and SuperMax VS variable speed pumps. The volute is the body the impeller spins inside, so a cracked or stripped one takes the whole pump out of service. This is the genuine Pentair replacement.

Fit

Sta-Rite SuperMax High Pressure and SuperMax VS. The same housing appears on the Pentair SuperFlo VS parts diagram, which shares the platform. It is the black version.

Do the job once

With the wet end apart, fit a new 5/8 in. mechanical shaft seal (PAC-101-4545). If the clamp, ramp and cam (STA-101-5180) are worn or the unions are cracked, the SuperFlo and SuperMax union kit (PAC-101-0157) finishes the job.

What else do I need for a volute replacement?
A fresh 5/8 in. mechanical shaft seal (PAC-101-4545) at minimum, and the clamp, ramp and cam (STA-101-5180) if yours is worn. The SuperFlo and SuperMax union kit (PAC-101-0157) covers the plumbing connections if the old unions are cracked.
