Product details

The Pentair 356175Z is the strainer pot kit in almond for the 3 HP IntelliFlo3 variable speed pool pump. It is the genuine Pentair part, the housing on the front of the pump that holds the strainer basket.

When you need one

The strainer pot takes the abuse on a pump: a dropped lid, a freeze, a wrench slipped on the lid ring. Once it cracks or the lid seat is damaged, the pump pulls air, loses prime or runs with a stream of bubbles in the lid. A new pot puts the suction side back to airtight.

Before you order

This kit is listed for the 3 HP IntelliFlo3 in almond. Check the horsepower on the pump label and the color of the body so the new pot matches.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

Which pump does this fit?
The 3 HP Pentair IntelliFlo3. Check the horsepower on your pump label before ordering.
What color is it?
Almond, to match an almond IntelliFlo3 body.
What does the strainer pot do?
It is the housing on the front of the pump that holds the strainer basket. Water enters here, debris is caught in the basket, and clean water goes on to the impeller.
Why would I replace it?
A cracked pot, a warped lid seat or stripped threads let air into the suction side, so the pump loses prime or runs with bubbles. A new pot restores the seal.
