The Raypak 018868F is the propane gas orifice kit for the AVIA pool heater, model 264A, in the version rated for elevations from 0 to 4500 feet.
What an orifice does
The orifice is the calibrated hole that meters gas into the burner. Everything downstream of it, the flame shape, the combustion air ratio, the rated output, follows from that one dimension. Propane runs at a different pressure and energy density than natural gas, and thinner air at altitude changes the picture again, which is why Raypak lists different kits by fuel and by elevation band rather than one orifice for every install.
Getting the right one
This kit is propane, for 0 to 4500 feet, for the AVIA 264A. Raypak lists the natural gas equivalent for the same heater and elevation range as a separate kit, so check the fuel at the meter and the elevation of the site before ordering.
