The Lil Dipit is a hand skimmer with a deep basket on a 3 foot handle, made for getting things out of the water that nobody wants to reach in after.
What it handles
Snakes, mice, rats, bugs and any messy debris. The basket is deep rather than flat, so whatever you scoop stays in it on the way up instead of washing back out over the rim.
Why the handle length matters
Three feet is enough to reach the water from standing. That is the difference between a quick scoop and kneeling on wet coping with your arm in the pool, and it is the reason this gets used rather than left in the shed.
Build
It is made from HDPE, a high density polyethylene that stands up to sun, chlorine and being left out by the pool. It suits spas as well as pools.
