The CMI REV-SS is a 2 HP single speed primary pool pump built around a different idea than most: instead of spinning fast, it uses a high torque motor at 1725 RPM to turn a large impeller. The result is flow of up to 130 GPM at a speed the motor is comfortable holding all day.
Flow and turnover
Moving up to 130 GPM gives the system the turnover it needs to circulate chemicals and keep the water clear. Because the pump gets there with torque rather than shaft speed, CMI also rates it at low decibel levels, which matters where local noise rules apply.
Wiring and control
The pump is dual voltage, 115VAC to 230VAC, so it wires to whatever is already at the pad. A simple on and off time clock interface is built into the pump, and CMI states it is compatible with all electronics, both new and replacement.
