Pentair WhisperFlo 1 HP 115-230V Total Enclosed Fan Cooled Pump

The Pentair WhisperFlo EC-015583 is a single speed 1 HP pool pump with a totally enclosed fan cooled motor, wired for 115 or 230V. It belongs to the updated WhisperFlo line, the single speed pool pumps built around NEMA Premium Efficient motors, and it meets the DOE pump rule.

The motor

TEFC means the motor is fully enclosed and cooled by an external fan rather than drawing air through the windings. Pentair pairs that proprietary motor with a balanced flow hydraulic design, so the pump moves water efficiently and runs at a lower operating cost than the older single speed units it replaces.

On the pad

Suction and discharge are 2 in. NPT. The Cam and Ramp lid comes off without tools so the strainer basket can be inspected and cleared in a minute.
