Product details

The Pentair 011066 is the 1.5HP IntelliFlo3 VSF pool pump, supplied with the relay board. It runs on 115V or 208-230V.

Speed and flow

The VSF designation is the difference worth understanding. A variable speed pump runs the motor at whatever RPM you set. A variable speed and flow pump watches the flow it is actually producing and adjusts the motor to hold the rate you asked for, so the pump compensates as the filter loads up rather than quietly moving less water.

Buying the right version

IntelliFlo3 is sold in several configurations. This one includes the relay board, which is what you want when the pump is being tied into equipment that switches it. Service parts such as the diffuser and the pump rebuild seal set are IntelliFlo3 specific, so keep the model in front of you when ordering spares later.
