Product details
The AquaStar PipeLine PLP300S is a 3 HP variable speed pool pump with WiFi control built in. It runs from 800 to 3400 RPM, holds four programmable speeds, and schedules its own run times.
The motor
It uses a high efficiency permanent magnet drive rather than a standard induction motor, which runs at lower temperatures and draws less for the same flow. The motor is totally enclosed fan cooled for outdoor life, sits on a 56 square flange, and carries a vibration dampening rubber insert to keep noise down at the pad.
Control and automation
Two paths are available. WiFi puts speed and schedule control in the free AquaStar PipeLine Connect app on a phone. The RS485 port handles wired automation: pair the pump with the AquaStar PLCM100 communication module, which is sold separately, and it communicates with Pentair and Jandy systems.
Protection
The pump has programmable freeze protection that circulates water once the temperature reaches a set point, and no flow protection to guard against running dry. The control panel displays over voltage, under voltage, over current, overheating and no water flow warnings. Priming settings are programmable, so the prime routine can be tuned to the pool.
