This is a six pack of Aquamoto grey directional flow eyeball inlet jets with a 1 in. opening and a standard 1-1/2 in. thread, supplied with an installation tool.

What a directional eyeball does

Return fittings are how a pool actually circulates. A directional eyeball lets you aim each return, so you can push surface debris toward the skimmer and keep water moving in the corners instead of letting it sit. A 1 in. opening narrows the flow and raises the exit velocity, which reaches further across the pool than a wide open return.

Doing the whole pool at once

Eyeballs go brittle and discolor with sun and chemicals, and a pool that needs one usually needs all of them. Six fittings covers most residential pools in a single job, and the included tool seats each eyeball squarely and gets the old ones out without chewing up the wall fitting.
