The Hayward SPX1411B is the threaded face plate for the SP1411 vinyl liner inlet fitting. It is the 4 hole old style plate, molded in white ABS.
How it goes together
The plate is the visible piece on the pool side of a vinyl liner return. It has 1.5 inch female threads on the inside, and the eyeball screws into those. The back of the plate is completely flat, with 2 partial holes, and that flat face is what clamps against the liner and gasket when the four screws are drawn up.
Confirming the pattern
There is more than one faceplate pattern in circulation, so measure before ordering. This one is 3-9/16 inch outside diameter, 1-3/4 inch inside diameter and 9/32 inch thick. The four screw holes are 1/4 inch with 15/32 inch countersinks, evenly spaced, and opposite holes sit 2-7/16 inch apart centerline to centerline.
If the old plate has cracked around a screw hole or gone brittle in the sun, replacing it is a liner side job that does not disturb the fitting behind it.
