The Hayward SPX1425C is the face plate grate for a pool wall fitting, listed at 4 inch round. It is the genuine Hayward replacement.

What it is

This is the visible face at the pool wall. It covers the fitting body behind it and gives the opening a finished edge. When one cracks, chips or goes missing, what is left is a rough hole in the wall that snags fingers and toes, so it is worth replacing even though the pool still runs without it.
