LaMotte P-6741-G is the DPD 1B free chlorine reagent, supplied in a 30 mL bottle. It is the refill for LaMotte pool water test kits that use the liquid DPD 1B.

Buy the bottle, not the kit

Reagents get used at different rates, and the chlorine bottles usually empty first because chlorine is the test people run most. Ordering the single reagent that ran out keeps a good kit in service instead of replacing the whole thing.

Keeping results honest

Liquid reagents age, and an aged bottle will quietly give you readings that look plausible but are not. If a kit that used to agree with your service tech has started to drift, fresh reagent is the cheapest thing to rule out.
