Product details

The Zodiac R0586200 is the tab feeder o-ring for the Nature2 Fusion inground water sanitizer, supplied as a pack of two. It is the genuine Zodiac part.

What it seals

The Fusion pairs a mineral cartridge with a chlorine tab feeder in one housing. This o-ring belongs to the tab feeder half, which means it lives in direct contact with tablet chemistry. That is the harshest environment on the equipment pad, and it is why this seal wears out faster than anything else on the unit.

When to change it

Any time the feeder is opened for a refill is a reasonable moment to look at the o-ring. If it has gone hard, lost its round profile, or shows fine cracks when flexed, it is due. Waiting until it leaks means chlorinated water on the pad and air pulled into the line.

Fitting

Clean the groove and the sealing face before the new o-ring goes on, then use a silicone based lubricant made for pool equipment. Petroleum grease will swell and ruin the rubber, so keep it well away from o-rings. The second o-ring in the pack is worth keeping in the equipment room rather than fitting it as a spare on top of the first.
