Product details

The Pentair 523031 is the o-ring service kit for the residential BioShield UV sterilizer. Pentair lists it for all residential BioShield models.

What it covers

A UV sterilizer seals pool water around a quartz sleeve with the lamp running dry inside it. The o-rings are the only thing keeping those two worlds apart, and they take heat every hour the system runs. Supplying them as a kit means every seal you disturb during a service goes back new instead of being reused because it looked fine.

When to use it

Fit the kit whenever the sleeve or lamp comes out. Reusing hardened o-rings after a lamp change is the most common reason a BioShield weeps afterwards. The lamp and the quartz sleeve themselves are separate Pentair parts.
