Product details

Raypak 018857F is the ignition board kit for the AVIA gas fired pool and spa heater, Model 264A. It is the genuine Raypak part.

What the board does

The ignition board runs the lighting sequence. On a call for heat it energizes the gas valve, drives the igniter and watches for flame. If it does not see flame in the expected window it locks the heater out rather than continuing to feed gas. That safety logic is exactly why a failed board leaves a heater that has power but never fires.

Before you replace it

A heater that will not light can be starved of gas, held off by a safety switch, or short of ignition. Work through the gas supply and the rest of the ignition train first, so the new board goes into a system that is otherwise sound.
