The Pentair 475975 is the control board replacement kit for the ETI 400 pool heater. It is the genuine factory part, supplied as a kit rather than a bare board.
What the board does
The control board is where the heater makes its decisions. It reads the sensors, runs the ignition sequence, and shuts the heater down when something is out of range. When it fails, the heater can refuse to start, quit part way through a cycle, or go dark at the display.
Before you replace it
A board is not the cheapest place to start. Confirm gas supply and power first, then check the ignition control module and the high limit switch, both of which are separate Pentair parts. If those test good, the control board is the next step.
