This is the genuine Pentair fan control board replacement kit, part number 475978, for the ETi 400 heater. It is supplied as a kit rather than as a bare board.

What the board does

The fan control board runs the combustion blower. Every heat cycle starts with the fan coming up to speed and proving itself before the heater will attempt ignition, so a board that cannot drive or read the fan stops the sequence there. From outside the cabinet that looks like a heater that powers on, calls for heat, and then simply never fires.

Before you order

Heater boards are specific to the model and the revision, so read the number off the board that is in the heater and confirm it is 475978. Ignition, gas supply and airflow faults can produce the same no heat symptom, so it is worth confirming the diagnosis before swapping a control board.
