What the board does

The fan control board runs the combustion blower. Every heat cycle starts with the fan coming up to speed and proving itself before the heater will attempt ignition, so a board that cannot drive or read the fan stops the sequence there. From outside the cabinet that looks like a heater that powers on, calls for heat, and then simply never fires.
