Product details

The Raypak 009837 is the outdoor highwind stack top kit in the 9 inch size, listed for the R406A, R407A and R408 digital pool heaters. It is the genuine Raypak part, supplied as a kit.

What the stack top does

The stack top sits on the flue and caps it. Its shape decides how the heater behaves in weather. A highwind top is the design Raypak specifies where wind blowing across the flue upsets the draft, which is the usual cause of a heater that runs fine on still days and drops out when it blows.

Getting the right one

Two things settle it. The diameter has to match the flue, and this kit is the 9 inch. And it has to be the right family, so confirm the heater is an R406A, R407A or R408 before you order. This is the outdoor top; an indoor installation vents differently and uses different hardware.
