Product details

The Jandy R0306200 is the replacement limestone gravel for the condensate tray of Pro Series Hi-E2 and Hi-E2R gas pool and spa heaters. The Jandy parts list names it the condensate neutralizer for the model 350.

What it does

The Hi-E2 is a high efficiency heater that cools its combustion gases so far that water condenses out of them, and Jandy notes that very cold pool water can produce 2 or 3 gallons of condensate an hour. That water is mildly acidic, typically pH 3.5 to 6.0 before treatment. It drains into the trap and neutralizer assembly, where the limestone raises the pH. Jandy calls the neutralizer necessary to prevent corrosion.

When to replace it

Jandy's schedule is once a year. At that service, check that condensate drains freely and that the tray holds enough neutralizer and water to keep the water seal in the trap. A blue-green deposit in old gravel is normal: small traces of copper settle out as the limestone raises the pH.

Installing the refill

Spread the gravel evenly through the tray and around the drain tubes, and make sure no pebble blocks a tube. Add water up to the level of the overflow, then put the tray cover back on.

Will R0306200 fit my Jandy Hi-E2 heater?
The current Jandy Hi-E2 and Hi-E2R manual lists R0306200 as the limestone gravel for the model 350. If your rating plate shows a different model, check the parts list in that heater's manual before ordering.
How often should Hi-E2 limestone gravel be replaced?
Once a year. Jandy says the Hi-E2 needs limestone neutralizer in the condensate tray to prevent corrosion and calls for replacing it annually, so R0306200 belongs on the yearly service list with the R0308000 combustion air filter.
How do I install the new limestone gravel?
