Product details

The Century BN25V1 is a 1 horsepower up rated pool pump motor, 115 volt, 48Y frame, single speed at 3450 RPM with a 1.0 service factor and a 12 amp draw. It carries the number that replaced the older BN25SS.

The workhorse of above ground pumps

A great many above ground pool and spa pumps are built around this motor. It appears in the parts lists for Hayward Power-Flo LX, Power-Flo II and III and SP-1500 series pumps, the Pentair Dynamo, the Sta-Rite JWPA, and the Waterway Executive, Workman, Hi-Flo and Supreme 48 frame pumps.

Construction

All copper windings, an automatic thermal protector, an open drip proof enclosure and a stainless steel threaded shaft with a thrubolt pump mount, built to the 1081 design at 60 Hz.

Before you order

Check three things on the old motor: the frame is 48Y, the voltage is 115, and the rating is up rated at 1.0 service factor. If any of those differ, the replacement is a different part number.

Is BN25V1 the same motor as BN25SS?
Yes. The BN25SS number was replaced by BN25V1 for the same 1 HP up rated 115 volt motor.
Is this full rated or up rated?
Up rated, with a 1.0 service factor. A full rated 1 HP motor is a different part.
What pumps use it?
It is listed with Hayward Power-Flo LX, Power-Flo II and III and SP-1500 series pumps, the Pentair Dynamo, Sta-Rite JWPA, and Waterway Executive, Workman, Hi-Flo and Supreme 48 frame pumps, among others.
Does it run on 115 volts only?
The motor is listed as 115 volt at 12 amps. If your pump is wired for 230 volts, this is not the motor for it.
